The Congress is being held for the fifth anniversary, is a major Russian and international congress dedicated to scientific and practical issues of demyelinating diseases: autoimmune neuroinflammation, neurodegeneration and neuroprotection.

Application rules and requirements for the design of abstracts:
Abstracts are accepted by e-mail until November 9, 2024. abstract@volga-tours.ru with a note in the subject of the letter "publication_1&2 name of the author_Yaroslavl_20-December 21, 2024", in the body of the letter it is necessary to specify the topic of the report, a brief abstract and contacts of the main speaker (phone and e-mail), attach a file with abstracts to the letter.

The decision to include the report in the scientific program of the conference and its duration, as well as the possibility of publishing the thesis in the journal Neurology, Neuropsychiatry, Psychosomatics, is made by the Scientific Committee of the conference. Information about the status of the application will be sent to the email address specified when submitting the abstracts, as the applications are reviewed and the scientific program is formed.
Applications submitted to the organizing committee after the above deadline will not be accepted for consideration.

On December 15-16, 2023, Yaroslavl hosted the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Promising Areas for the diagnosis and Therapy of Demyelinating diseases" and a Conference of Young Scientists following the ROKIRS 2023 Congress, organized by ROKIRS, the Federal Research Center for Brain and Neurotechnology of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, the Scientific Center for Neurology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Russian National Research Medical University.I.I. Pirogova, YAGMU, All-Russian Society of Neurologists. More than 100 people from 11 Russian cities took part in the event.
The issues of clinic and differential diagnosis, heterogeneity and age-related aspects of the demyelinating process (MS, ZSONM, MOH-associated diseases), new possibilities of using biomarkers, prospects for pathogenetic therapy of demyelinating diseases, including cell therapy, with an emphasis on autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in multiple sclerosis were considered.
Of the total 45 reports, a significant part (20 reports) were presented by young scientists from various cities of the Russian Federation, winners of the young scientists competition at the 5th ROKIRS 2023 Congress in Ufa.
Their reports were devoted to the issues of neuroimmune interactions and the prospects of using new drugs in the treatment of MS, the potential for studying the transcriptome and micro-RNA of cerebrospinal fluid in radiological isolated syndrome and multiple sclerosis, and new possibilities for MRI diagnostics of demyelinating diseases. The discussions and discussions of the reports were of great interest.
Further discussions and discussions are planned at the conference "New directions of diagnosis and treatment of DM", December 20-21, 2024 (Yaroslavl).
